Cycling

The canton of Zug presents the diversity of Switzerland in a very small area. And our sunsets are among the most beautiful in the country.

Welcome to the picturesque world of cycle touring, where a thirst for adventure and a love of nature come together in a fascinating way. What is cycle touring anyway? Cycle touring is a specific form of cycling. The focus here is on consciously experiencing nature.

Mountain biking

For each of us, mountain biking is more or less consciously linked to other things and ideas. Mountain biking has become a way of life and above all means quality of life and respect for people, animals and landscapes.

Zugerberg Mountain Bike Trail

The 2.1 km long trail leads from the Zugerberg mountain station via Juchenegg to Schönegg, the valley station of the Zugerberg cable car.

The trail is peppered with berms, jumps, wall rides and much more. There are bypasses for all obstacles. The trail, with an easy to medium level of difficulty, is also fun for experienced riders. The Zugerberg Railway transports mountain bikers and their bikes to the starting point of the trail. A bike washing facility is available at the valley station.

Pump track Cham

Pump tracks were originally a playground for BMX riders and mountain bikers. Today they are "the" playground for young and old.

New mobile and fixed pump tracks are constantly being built in Switzerland and delight a wide range of visitors. The first track in the canton of Zug was inaugurated in Cham in December 2020. A landscape full of hills has been created between the lido and the tennis courts. The circuit with asphalted waves and steep wall curves is suitable for bikes, skates, kickboards or simply anything without a motor and with two wheels.

Cooling down after pumping is also taken care of. Lake Zug is just a jump away from the pump track.

Rent a bike

As part of the establishment of the Herzschlaufe Zug in cooperation with Herzrouten AG, Zug Tourism is planning to set up a bike rental service in the city of Zug. For the successful implementation, they are looking for a business that can operate the bike rental concept of Rent a Bike, the official partner of Herzrouten AG.

If you are interested or know a suitable business that would like to take on this exciting task, we look forward to hearing from you.
